One of Friday's best knockouts – a face-breaker – didn't come from MMA

While Bellator 146 and WSOF 25 captured the MMA world’s attention on Friday, one of the best knockouts may have come from the world of muay Thai.

AXS TV, a longtime home for combat sports of all sorts, again showcased muay Thai. Lion Fight 26 took place at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., and it featured a remarkable comeback with a violent knockout.

When Julio Pena (4-0), who had been badly rocked and hobbled throughout the fight, caught a kick, he quickly spun with an elbow and connected flush to the face of Tim Amorim (1-3).

“Amorim rushed to the hospital – face broken,” Michael Schiavello plainly said.
