'Cyborg' Justino posts progress pic on way down to 140 pounds

Invicta FC featherweight champion Cristiane Justino is certainly giving her drop to 140 pounds a serious effort.

“Cyborg” (14-1), who’s long been angling for a shot at UFC women’s bantamweight champion and chief rival Ronda Rousey (12-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC), hopes a move from 145 to 140 pounds could eventually set up the bout. She’s currently scheduled to fight next month at Invicta FC 15, though a date, opponent and location haven’t been announced.

Justino today posted a progress pic (via Twitter) of her gradual weight drop:

Meanwhile, up next for Rousey is a UFC 193 pay-per-view headliner against Holly Holm (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC), which takes place Nov. 14 at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne. The dominant champ, who’s ranked 1 in the NOS Energy Drink MMA women’s bantamweight rankings, looks for her seventh consecutive title defense.
