The lineup is set for next month’s UFC 192 event in Houston with the light heavyweight title on the line in the main event.
UFC 192 takes place Oct. 3 at Toyota Center in Houston. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
Recently crowned 205-pound titleholder Daniel Cormier (16-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) goes after his first title defense when he meets former title challenger Alexander Gustafsson (16-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC). Cormier is currently ranked No. 2 in the NOS Energy Drink MMA light heavyweight rankings, and Gustafsson is No. 4.
In the co-headliner, Uriah Hall (11-5 MMA, 4-3 UFC), who recently replaced Roan Carneiro (20-9 MMA, 3-3 UFC), meets fellow middleweight Gegard Mousasi (37-5-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC).
In the co-main event, former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks (17-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) won’t be getting the title shot he hoped for, instead meeting fellow top contender Tyron Woodley (15-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC).
Also on the card, former light-heavyweight champion and No. 8-ranked Rashad Evans (19-3-1 MMA, 14-3-1 UFC) meets No. 5 Ryan Bader (19-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC). Evans will be returning after an injury layoff approaching two years.
