It’s fight week, which means a new episode of “UFC 184 Embedded” to preview Saturday’s UFC return to the “City of Angels.”
The online series looks ahed to the pay-per-view card at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, including women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (10-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) and challenger Cat Zingano (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC), 135-pounders Holly Holm (7-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Raquel Pennington (5-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC), and welterweights Jake Ellenberger (29-9 MMA, 8-5 UFC) and Josh Koscheck (17-8 MMA, 15-8 UFC).
In this episode, we check in on Rousey at the gym; we hear from Oscar-nominated actor Mickey Rourke, who moonlights as a boxer and is friends with Ellenberger; we check out Koscheck and Holm getting their color on in different ways; we look in on a home-cooked meal of crab legs and steak at Pennington’s coach Marc Fiore’s house; and we see Zingano heading to the airport to fly from Denver to L.A. for her title fight.
