In a few weeks, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones looks for his record eighth straight title defense. Watch the fight that first earned him the belt.

Back in 2011 at UFC 128, Jones’ quick rise in the ranks earned him a shot at then-champ Mauricio Rua. The fight actually came on short notice. After submitting Ryan Bader at UFC 126 and being told that Rashad Evans was injured and unable to fight, Jones agreed to take the “Shogun” fight just six weeks later.
