The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale medical suspensions: Medeiros, Clark face potential long layoffs

Victorious fighters Yancy Medeiros and Heather Jo Clark each face potential six-month layoffs despite picking up wins at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission recently released a list of medical suspensions stemming from the event, which took place this past Saturday at The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Of course, both fighters can each be cleared early by doctors, though Clark can’t return until Feb. 11, at the earliest.

Medeiros picked up a thrilling first-round submission win over Joe Proctor in a bout that earned him a “Performance of the Night” bonus. Meanwhile, Clark earned a unanimous-decision win over rival Bec Rawlings in a three-round affair, 29-28 on all three judges’ cards.

The full list of orders includes:

• Yancy Medeiros: Must have left third toe X-rayed; if positive, then must have doctor clearance or no contest until June 12
• Heather Jo Clark: Must have left orbital fracture cleared by ophthalmologist or no contest until June 12; minimum suspension until Feb. 11 with no contact until Jan. 27

• Daron Cruickshank: Must have ophthalmologist clearance before next fight; minimum suspension until Feb. 11 with no contact before Jan. 27
• Randa Markos: Suspended until Feb. 11 with no contact until Jan. 17 due to right and left eyelid lacerations
• Emily Kagan: Suspended until Feb. 11 with no contact until Jan. 3 due to right eyebrow lacerations

• Rose Namajunas: Suspended until Jan. 12 with no contact before Dec. 28
• Lisa Ellis: Suspended until Jan. 12 with no contact before Dec. 28
• Seo Hee Ham: Suspended until Jan. 12 with no contact before Dec. 28
• Tecia Torres: Suspended until Jan. 12 with no contact before Jan. 3
• Alex Chambers: Suspended until Jan. 12 with no contact before Dec. 28
