Light heavyweight Anthony Johnson has been reinstated with the UFC after a Florida domestic case was dismissed, the promotion today announced.
Belinda Kelly, the alleged mother of two of Johnson’s children, this past week voluntarily dismissed an order for protection from the fighter in a Palm Beach court.
MMAjunkie today obtained a copy of the dismissal, which stated that on Oct. 29, Kelly “appeared at the hearing but desires to voluntarily dismiss this action.”
The UFC suspended Johnson in September after the allegations. The UFC enlisted its trial counsel, Donald Campbell, to investigate the fighter.
Johnson (18-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC), who’s ranked No. 5 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA light heavyweight rankings, most recently fought in July at UFC on FOX 12, where he knocked out Antonio Rogerio Nogueira to earn his second consecutive win since returning to the octagon.
