Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier set for today's Nevada athletic commission hearing

As a reminder UFC 182 headliners Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier are among the scheduled topics at today’s Nevada State Athletic Commission hearing, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.

Today’s meeting takes place in Las Vegas and commences at 11:30 a.m. ET (8:30 a.m. PT local time).

The NSAC seeks to fine UFC light heavyweight champion Jones and Jan. 3 pay-per-view opponent Cormier up to $250,000 and their fight-night purses for an “unsportsmanlike brawl” that occurred during an Aug. 4 media day in Las Vegas (watch it above).

Because of the scuffle, which took place at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Jones (20-1 MMA, 14-1 UFC) and Cormier (15-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) are required to attend today’s NSAC meeting.

In addition to the Jones and Cormier discussion, today’s hearing also includes a request from Bellator MMA to hold fights at an Oct. 18 Monster Energy Drink Cup event, as well as a hearing of the disciplinary complaint against Wanderlei Silva. Recent UFC fighters Kevin Casey and Robert Drysdale also face disciplinary action after failing UFC 175 drug tests.

The full agenda can be found on the NSAC’s website.
