DUBLIN – Trevor Smith is mired in a bit of a slump.
At least that’s what most people would call a 1-3 stretch. In April, he was stopped quickly in Abu Dhabi in a fight he doesn’t want to talk about.
But against Tor Troeng on Saturday at UFC Fight Night 46 in Dublin, Smith doesn’t much care that there will be plenty of Swedes in Ireland rooting his opponent on.
“If this is a place I can come in and put on a ‘Fight of the Night’ performance and win the crowd over … I’m going to put on a hell of a fight and win over all his fans,” Smith told MMAjunkie. “That’s what I plan on doing.”
