Jones Jones and Ronda Rousey Go Head to Head as 2014 ESPY Nominees

Ronda Rousey and Jon JonesWho wins between Jon Jones and Ronda Rousey? We’ll soon find out.

The UFC light heavyweight champion and women’s bantamweight champ were nominated for ESPYs in the Best Fighter category, alongside boxers Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, and Andre Ward.

Rousey, however, was also nominated in a second category, Best Female Athlete, so she’s already got one up on Jones and another UFC fighter with an ESPY nomination, Chris Weidman.

Rousey is up against skier Mikaela Shiffrin, and basketball players Maya Moore and Breanna Stewart in the Best Female Athlete category.

Weidman, the UFC middleweight champion, is nominated for his game-shifting knockout of longtime 185-pound kingpin Anderson Silva at UFC 162 last summer.

His Best Upset nomination puts Weidman up against two NCAA basketball teams. The University of Connecticut is nominated for winning the NCAA tournament, while Mercer is nominated for upsetting Duke University in the tournament.

An online fan vote on ESPN.com will decide the winners of the 2014 ESPYs. The annual awards ceremony takes place at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on July 16 and airs on ESPN.
