Watch MFC's Mark Pavelich, RFA's Ed Soares get heated about cross-promotion

Sit back, grab a drink and watch two of MMA’s more passionate promoters debate a possible co-promoted event between MFC and RFA, two of AXS TV’s top organizations.

According to MFC CEO Mark Pavelich, an in-studio guest host on today’s edition of MMAjunkie Radio, he’d leave the sport for good if his fighters lost a best-of-five series to Soares’ squad of RFA competitors.

“If my guys couldn’t beat those guys (from) Ed’s show that he runs, I would think it’s time for me to go because then I’m at that level,” the always-outspoken Pavelich said. “So that’s the way I’d look at it. I’d look at it that way. I’d be like, ‘Eh, I’m at that level now. We’re not progressing. I’ll do something else.’”

Pavelich, who continually said that Soares should stick to his successful fighter-management career, was challenged to a co-promoted event.

“In all honesty, let’s do this, bro,” Soares said. “I’m down to put our five guys against your guys because I think our guys are the best dudes. That’s what I believe.”

For now, though, it appears we simply need AXS TV Fights CEO Andrew Simon to pull the trigger.
