A catchweight matchup born of necessity will take place this Saturday at Bellator 120 when Nate Jolly collides with Marcin Held at 158 pounds.

Jolly was initially expected to face Will Brooks at the May 17 event, but Brooks was pulled from the matchup in order to replace the injured Eddie Alvarez opposite Michael Chandler. Held was supposed to lock horns with Patricky Freire in the Season 10 lightweight tournament final, but “Pitbull” was recently sidelined with a hand injury, forcing Bellator officials to postpone the booking until this fall.

The main card of Bellator 120 airs live on pay-per-view, while the preliminary card -- including Held’s clash with Jolly -- will be broadcast on Spike TV. The event takes place at Landers Center in Southaven, Miss., and is headlined by a light heavyweight tournament final pitting Quinton Jackson against Muhammed Lawal.

Known for his submission game, Held advanced to the Season 10 final by tapping out his first two opponents, finishing Rodrigo Cavalheiro Correia with a toe hold before doing the same to Derek Anderson with a triangle choke in the semis.

An 18-fight pro, Jolly has won three of his last four fights and last competed on Oct. 18, when he outpointed Gerric Hayes under the Florida-based Xtreme Fighting Championships banner.

Editor's note: This item was updated May 13 at 11:23 a.m. with additional information regarding Patricky Freire's withdrawal.
