UFC officials recently announced the matchup, which takes place July 6 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The show airs live on Fox Sports 1 and is headlined by a featherweight rematch between former lightweight champions Frankie Edgar and B.J. Penn.
An eight-fight pro, Lee suffered the first loss of his pro career when he was outpointed by “TUF 15” alum Al Iaquinta this past February at UFC 169. Prior to that setback, the Michigan native had won seven straight fights, scoring four submissions along the way.
Like Lee, Ronson is still searching for his first UFC victory. The Canadian signed with the promotion last year on the strength of an eight-fight winning streak but then suffered consecutive defeats in his first two Octagon outings, dropping split decisions to Michel Richard Cunha dos Prazeres and Francisco Trinaldo.
