Video: Watch UFC Fight Night 39's Clay Guida tap out Takanori Gomi in 2011

After back-to-back losses in 2009, Clay Guida was in the midst of a big-time bounce-back with back-to-back submission wins.

And against Takanori Gomi, he was looking to make it three straight. Mission accomplished. Guida submitted Gomi at UFC 125 on New Year’s Day 2011 for his third straight tapout win – and a big-time start to the new year.

On Friday, Guida (30-14 MMA, 10-8 UFC) takes on Tatsuya Kawajiri (33-7-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) on the main card of UFC Fight Night 39 in Abu Dhabi. Guida will be looking to bounce back from a loss to Chad Mendes this past August.
