Replacing them in the tournament field will be Paul Bradley, Nathan Coy and Cristiano Souza. Bradley and Coy were already slated to square off this Friday on the Bellator 112 undercard, but their matchup will now serve as a welterweight quarterfinal. Meanwhile, Souza steps in for Riggs to take on Sam Oropeza at The Venue at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Ind.
The evening’s main draw airs live on Spike TV and is headlined by a featherweight title rematch pitting Daniel Straus against Pat Curran.
The two remaining welterweight quarterfinals were also altered by Bellator officials on Saturday. Instead of facing Jesse Juarez, former title challenger Andrey Koreshkov will now meet UFC veteran Nah-Shon Burrell in the round of eight, while Juarez takes on Adam McDonough to kick off the televised card.
