UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey successfully defended her belt against Sara McMann at UFC 170 recently. The victory, however, wasn’t without some controversy.
Rousey dropped McMann with a knee strike to the liver, following with several punches. The fight was stopped shortly thereafter.
The controversy erupted when detractors felt that referee Herb Dean stopped the bout prematurely, saying that McMann was making moves to protect and recover at the time of the stoppage.
Time for the Gracie’s to step in and provide an in-depth breakdown of Rousey’s victory, and Dean’s stoppage.
