After an epic battle with Mark Hunt at UFC Fight Night 33 in Australia in December, Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva had been hoping for a quick turn to fight again. But after the draw with Hunt, which almost no one argued the result, Silva tested positive for elevated levels of testosterone.
The blown test results cost Silva his $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus and put him on the sidelines with a nine-month suspension.
Silva decided to take advantage of the down time to clean up some lingering issues with his shoulder, went in for surgery, and then posted the above picture of him a few hours later.
“After hours of surgery in my shoulder I’m very well and I will be back 100% thank you everyone…” wrote Silva.
