Fans in Chicago will get to quiz a UFC champ on what it’s like to rule the roost later this month.
UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson (19-2-1 MMA, 7-1-1 UFC) will host a special Q&A session for UFC Fight Club members on Jan. 24 prior to the official fighter weigh-ins for UFC on FOX 10.
The Q&A will take place at the historic Chicago Theatre on State Street, which also hosts the weigh-in event. Doors will open for Fight Club members at 1:30 p.m. CT local time, and Johnson will take the stage around 2 p.m. Fighters on the UFC on FOX 10 card then will step on the scale at 4 p.m. CT.
UFC on FOX 10 takes place Jan. 25 at Chicago’s United Center. The main card airs on FOX following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. The main event is a five-round lightweight fight between former champion Benson Henderson and former Strikeforce champ Josh Thomson, whose recent title shot against new champ Anthony Pettis was scrapped with a Pettis injury.
Chicago fans are familiar with Johnson. A year ago, Johnson defended his flyweight title with a five-round “Fight of the Night” decision win over John Dodson in the main event of UFC on FOX 6. Since then, “Mighty Mouse” has twice defended his title with a “Submission of the Night” victory over John Moraga at UFC on FOX 8 and a “Knockout of the Night” win over Joseph Benavidez a month ago at UFC on FOX 9.
As usual, MMAjunkie will be on scene with complete UFC on FOX 10 coverage. We’ll also provide a live stream of the fighter weigh-ins.
The full UFC on FOX 10 card includes:
MAIN CARD (FOX, 8 p.m. ET)
