LAS VEGAS – MMAjunkie was on scene and reporting live from today’s UFC 168 fighter weigh-ins, where all but one competitor successfully made weight for Saturday’s card.

The festivities took place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the same site that hosts Saturday’s event.

The main event is a rematch from July’s UFC 162 headliner between Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva. In that fight, Weidman upset the longtime middleweight champion to take the title. A rematch was booked shortly thereafter.

Silva was weighing in first for the first time since his first two UFC fights – his debut against Chris Leben and his middleweight title shot against Rich Franklin, both in 2006. The longtime champ and now challenger came in at 185 pounds. Weidman, defending the title for the first time, was 184.

The co-main event also is a title rematch. Women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey meets her bitter rival, Miesha Tate, for the second time. In 2012, Rousey submitted Tate with a first-round armbar in Strikeforce to take Tate’s belt. The two just wrapped coaching stints opposite each other on Season 18 of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

Tate, the challenger and former champ, came in at 135. Rousey was 135, as well. The two then engaged in a heated face-off as the crowd erupted.

Also on the main card, heavyweights Josh Barnett and Travis Browne clash. Barnett, fighting for the second time since returning to the UFC after an absence of more than 11 years, came in at 252. Browne was 242.

To open the main card, Diego Brandao came in at 153 pounds on his first attempt for his featherweight fight against Dustin Poirier, who was 146. Brandao re-weighed and was 151.5. Keith Kizer, executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, told MMAjunkie Brandao will be fined 25 percent of his fight purse.
