Donald Cerrone was on the fast track to a UFC lightweight title shot. Until he met Nate Diaz in late 2011.

Cerrone, surging with a six-fight winning streak, took on an opponent who was just one bout removed from a two-fight losing skid. But Diaz posted one of the best performances on his career while earning a sixth “Fight of the Night” bonus (and a staggering 11th fight-night bonus after all).
