Win or lose, UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will take home $400,000 for fighting Johny Hendricks tonight at UFC 167. Hendricks, meanwhile, stands to make a disclosed $100,000.
MMAjunkie requested and received show and win purses for the event’s top-billed fights from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which oversees the event. UFC 167 takes place at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. Main-card fights air on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and MMAjunkie.
Former light-heavyweight champion Rashad Evans‘ potential payout ranks second on the fight card. If victorious against three-time title challenger Chael Sonnen, he will earn a disclosed $250,000 payout.
A complete list of payouts will be released following the event. As always, the figures do not reflect deductions for items such as insurance, licenses and taxes. They also do not include special discretionary bonuses or pay-per-view revenue sharing.
UFC 167 is the UFC’s 20th anniversary event and, according to preliminary reports, is the most expensive ticket in the past four years.
