Bellator 107 weigh-in results: Kongo, Graham official for heavyweight final

peter-graham-cheick-kongo.jpgThe Bellator 107 weigh-ins are in the books, and four fighters still have some pounds left to shed.

Included among that group are three main-card fighters – including a tournament finalist.

Thursday’s weigh-ins took place at WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla., which hosts Friday’s show. The main card of Bellator 107 airs on Spike TV following prelims on Spike.com.

Main-event heavyweights Cheick Kongo and Peter Graham each were on weight, with Kongo coming in at 237.1 pounds and Graham 243.8 for the Season 9 heavyweight tournament final. The winner will advance to a title shot against the winner of next week’s Bellator 108 fight between champ Alexander Volkov and Vitaly Minakov.

In the Season 9 bantamweight tournament final, former featherweight champion Joe Warren was on point at 135.8 for his fight against Travis Marx, who was the same weight. The winner of this season’s four-man 135-pound tourney advances to a title shot, as well.

But in the middleweight tournament final, Mikkel Parlo came in heavy for his fight against Brennan Ward. Parlo initially was 186.3 pounds before stripping down. With the towel up, he still was over at 186.1. He was given one hour to shed the final 0.1 pounds and hit 186 on his second try.

In the night’s opening main-card fight on Spike TV, lightweights Derek Campos and Martin Stapleton each have a little left to cut. Campos was 156.7, while Stapleton was slightly more at 157.1. Like Parlo, they were given one hour to get to the division’s maximum. But both fighters agreed to meet at a catchweight rather than cut the additional weight.
