MANCHESTER – Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night 30 event drew an announced attendance of 10,355 fans and a live gate of $1.5 million.
UFC President Dana White announced the figures at the night’s post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie.com attended.
UFC Fight Night 30 took place at Phones4u Arena in Manchester, England. The main card aired on FOX Sports 2 following prelims on MMAjunkie.com. The event featured a middleweight headliner between former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida, who moved down to 185 pounds for the first time to take on Mark Munoz.
While the number of “comp” or free tickets was not revealed, the figures represent an average revenue of $144.86 per ticket issued.
UFC Fight Night 30 marked the UFC’s third event in Manchester. All three events took place in the same building, which was formerly known as Manchester Evening News Arena.
Most recently, UFC 105 in November 2009 drew a reported 16,693 fans for a $2 million gate.
