Daniel Cormier Dialed In: “Roy Nelson Presents a Lot of Problems for Me” (UFC 166 Video)

Daniel Cormier and Josh Barnett StrikeforceHeavyweight contender and former Oklahoma State wrestling standout Daniel Cormier has long been a prospect to watch.  Since debuting at the ripe age of 30, the American Kickboxing Academy stalwart has quickly risen to the top of the divisional pecking order — a division currently being reigned over by teammate and friend Cain Velasquez.

Saturday, at UFC 166, Cormier meets heavyweight slugger and fan-favorite “Big Country” Roy Nelson.

Cormier, who has stated this will be his last fight at heavyweight before making a move to the light heavyweight division, sat down recently to speak with MMAWeekly’s Ryan McKinnell at his home gym in San Jose, Calif.

In this exclusive interview, D.C. talks about Nelson as an opponent, gives his thoughts on the fight to Save Olympic Wrestling for 2020, and briefly addresses some critical comments made by light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
