December’s Cage Warriors 62 event will have a second title fight.
Recently crowned flyweight champion Neil Seery (13-9) will look to make his first title defense, the organization recently announced. An opponent hasn’t been finalized.
Cage Warriors 62 takes place Dec. 7 event at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England. The main card streams on MMAjunkie.com following Facebook prelims.
Seery recently won the title with a third-round submission victory over Mikael Silander (8-1). It marked the Irishman’s fourth straight win and his sixth victory in his past seven fights. After a 4-6 start, he’s resurrected his pro career with a subsequent 9-3 record that includes seven stoppages.
Cage Warriors 62 also features a previously announced title between bantamweight champion Brett Johns (8-0) and James Brum (13-2).
Featherweights Ian Entwistle (7-1) and Liam James (8-5) also are scheduled to fight.
