Following their respective wins at Friday’s Bellator 102 event, Mikkel Parlo (11-1 MMA, 3-1 BMMA) and Brennan Ward (8-1 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) will fight in the Season 9 middleweight tournament final on Nov. 8 at Bellator 107.
The winner of the eight-man tourney earns a title shot.
Bellator 107 takes place at WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla. The main card, including Parlo vs. Ward, airs on Spike TV following prelims on Spike.com.
Parlo advanced to the final with a decision win over Brian Rogers this past month and a decision victory over Jason Butcher on Friday. The 23-year-old heavy-handed Dane’s only career loss came via decision to Sultan Aliev in the Season 8 tourney’s opening round.
He takes on Ward, who tapped out Joe Pacheco on Friday following an opening-round TKO victory over Justin Torrey. The 25-year-old Connecticut-based fighter and NCAA Division III All-American wrestler is 3-0 since a 15-second submission loss to Aaron Johnson at Bellator 89.

The eventual tourney winner hopes to unseat reigning titleholder Alexander Shlemenko, who recently defended his Bellator title for the first time by beating Brett Cooper. It marked the Russian’s 11th straight win.
