Moving forward, all UFC prelims to be on FOX Sports 1

UFC President Dana White made the announcement immediately following Wednesday’s event, which took place at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

As before, additional prelim bouts will stream live on Facebook.

FOX Sports 1 hosted the majority of the fight card for UFC Fight 26, which served as the showpiece for the channel’s debut on Aug. 17. FOX Sports 2, formerly SPEED, also went live.

“I called (FOX Sports President) Eric (Shanks) the other day and said, ‘We should just put everything on FOX Sports 1 like we did the first night,’” White told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) following Wednesday’s post-event news conference. “And he was like, ‘You’re right. We should. Let’s do it.’”

FOX Sports 1's previous name, FUEL TV, was a hub for UFC programming when the promotion struck a seven-year deal with FOX. Moving forward, the channel also will host shoulder programming such as “UFC Tonight.”

UFC Fight Night 26 was available in an estimated 93 million homes and drew an average of 1.78 million viewers, according to several reports.

UFC Fight Night 27's preliminary card included six fights, four of which aired on FOX Sports 2. The final bout saw Dylan Andrews stage a come-from-behind TKO of Papy Abedi.
