James Brum vs. Ruslan Abiltarov joins Cage Warriors 58 in Chechnya

A bantamweight bout that could draw the attention of big-show talent scouts has been booked for Cage Warriors 58 with James Brum (12-2) vs. Ruslan Abiltarov (10-1).

Cage Warriors officials today announced the bout.

Cage Warriors 58 takes place Aug. 24 at Olympisk Arena in Grozny, Chechnya. The main card streams on MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) following prelims on Facebook.

Brum is riding a six-fight winning streak, which includes five consecutive victories in Cage Warriors over the likes of Olivier Pastor, Moktar Benkaci and James Saville. The Englishman’s winning streak began after a 2011 loss to current UFC prospect Erik Perez at BAMMA 7.

Abiltarov, a promotional newcomer, has posted four consecutive wins. Three of the victories came on July 12, when he scored three first-round stoppages (in an average time of 71 seconds per fight) to a win single-night Gladiators Fighting Championship featherweight tournament in his native Ukraine. The 21-year-old has racked up 11 fights in less than a year as a pro fighter.

The latest Cage Warriors 58 card includes:

• Ruslan Abiltarov vs. James Brum
• Pavel Kusch vs. Chris Scott
• Liam James vs. Akhad Mammadov
