UFC 162 Poster-BLUE-478x270The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the results of the UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman fighter drug tests on Friday revealing all fighters tested clean.

Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer informed MMAWeekly.com that all 22 fighters that fought on the July 6 fight card at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas were tested, and all returned negative test results.

Chris Weidman became the new UFC middleweight champion in the main event of the fight card by knocking out long-time titleholder Anderson Silva early in the second round.  Silva taunted, flaunted and ended up waking up wrestling referee Herb Dean.  It was Silva’s first UFC loss.  A rematch is expected.

In the co-main event, former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar secured his first UFC win in the featherweight division by defeating Charles Oliveira by unanimous decision.

12,399 spectators were in attendance for UFC 162 and the event did  $4.862 million in total gate receipts.
