UFC 162 Medical Suspensions: Tokudome Suffers Fractured Orbital, Faces 6 Months

Kazuki Tokudome faces a potential six-month suspension following his unanimous-decision loss to Norman Parke at UFC 162.

The Nevada Athletic Commission on Monday released a full list of suspensions from the event, which took place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The card was headlined by a middleweight title clash between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman; Silva could be sidelined up to 45 days for precautionary reasons after suffering a second-round knockout loss.

Tokudome must have a right orbital blowout fracture cleared by a doctor or he will not be cleared to compete until Jan. 3.

Meanwhile, featherweight Dennis Siver and welterweight David Mitchell could be out for three months apiece. Siver has been suspended for precautionary reasons following a third-round TKO loss to Cub Swanson, while Mitchell must receive post-concussion clearance from a sports medicine doctor after being stopped by Mike Pierce in the second round of Saturday’s opening bout.
