Nick Diaz wants to fight again, will Dana White listen?

Apparently MMA bad boy Nick Diaz suddenly wants to return to the fight game after posting a picture on his official Instagram account Friday stating he wanted the winner of this weekend’s bout between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman.

That news of course has been overshadowed by Weidman’s epic upset of Silva, but UFC President Dana White did acknowledge the situation briefly following UFC 162.

According to White, “He (Diaz) texted me that he broke up with his girlfriend and he wants to fight."

This is a complete turnaround for Diaz who said he was done fighting after being manhandled by Georges St-Pierre in Canada this past March and as recently as last month was still trying to establish his own California based promotion, WAR MMA.

So, do the fans want to see the brash Diaz make a return? What spurs his motivation? Is it the need for a payday, boredom, or the need to fight? Either way it seems like a Nick Diaz return is eminent.
