Norma Rueda Center replaces Schneider, meets Joanne Calderwood at Invicta FC 6


joanne-calderwood-1.jpgNorma Rueda Center (2-0) has replaced injured Sarah Schneider (6-6) and now meets fellow strawweight Joanne Calderwood (6-0) at next month’s Invicta FC 6 event.

Invicta FC officials recently confirmed an initial report from MMARising.com.

Invicta FC 6 takes place July 13 at Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, Mo. The event airs via regular pay-per-view in North America, and international viewers can watch via an online PPV stream. The event is priced at $14.95.

This is the second opponent switch for Calderwood, who initially was slated to fight Claudia Gadelha before the switch to Schneider.

Calderwood recently fought at Cage Warriors 53 and knocked out Sally Krumdiack. The Scottish fighter now has six wins (four via knockout) in six career fights, which has included Invicta FC victories over Ashley Cummins and Livia Von Plettenberg.

Center, a Team Jackson-Winkeljohn fighter based in New Mexico, is 2-0 in her pro career with a decision win over Rachael Cummins in March and a submission victory over Olga Ortega in May. She went 5-0 during her amateur career.
