This past month’s UFC 160 officially drew an attendance of 12,380 for a live gate of $2,942,365.
Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer on Thursday released the figures to MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).
Officials initially announced an estimated attendance of 11,089 for a live gate of $2.942 million.
UFC 160, the promotion’s annual Memorial Day weekend card, took place May 25 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and featured a heavyweight title fight between champion Cain Velasquez and Antonio Silva. Velasquez dominated “Bigfoot” to earn a quick first-round TKO for his first defense of the title he reclaimed from Junior dos Santos in December at UFC 155.
The figures are short of the MGM Grand Garden Arena’s best UFC attendance and live gate figures and down from 2012's UFC 146 Memorial Day weekend card, which also featured a heavyweight title fight – and an all-heavyweight main card. UFC 146 drew 14,674 fans for a live gate of more than $3.4 million.
For UFC 160, 10,075 tickets were sold, while 2,305 “comp” tickets were issued. A total of 1,403 tickets went unsold. The average paid ticket price was $216.97.
