Mark Hunt Receives Visa; Cleared to Meet Junior dos Santos in UFC 160 Co-Headliner

With one short tweet, Mark Hunt appears to have alleviated the concerns of UFC brass and fans alike.

“Thank u for my visa father,” Hunt wrote on Sunday, apparently confirming that he will be able to travel to Las Vegas for his UFC 160 co-main event showdown with Junior dos Santos on Saturday.

Last week, Hunt announced that he was denied departure from New Zealand due to visa issues, and the Nevada Athletic Commission granted heavyweight contender Roy Nelson a license to fight at UFC 160 in the event that Hunt was unable to make the trip. MMAFighting.com’s Ariel Helwani reported via Twitter that UFC officials confirmed that Hunt had received his visa and would fly to Las Vegas sometime on Sunday evening.

UFC 160 takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena and is headlined by a heavyweight title clash between Cain Velasquez and Antonio Silva. The card also features a lightweight title eliminator between Gray Maynard and T.J. Grant.
