Ronnie Mann-Rodrigo Lima Bantamweight Bout Added to Bellator 94 Main Card

The main card for Bellator 94 is now complete with four fights, as the promotion this week announced the addition of a bantamweight showdown between Ronnie Mann and Rodrigo Lima.

Bellator 94 takes place Thursday at the University of South Florida Sun Dome in Tampa, Fla., and is headlined by the Season 8 lightweight tournament final between David Rickels and Saad Awad. The Spike TV-broadcast main card will also see Emanuel Newton lock horns with Mikhail Zayats for the light heavyweight tournament championship, while Luis Sergio da Fonseca Melo squares off with Trey Houston at 170 pounds.

The evening’s preliminary offerings stream live on Spike.com immediately prior to the main card telecast and include top female talent Jessica Aguilar taking on Patricia Vidonic in a rematch of their 2012 showdown.

Lima, 21, saw his perfect record ruined in his Bellator debut last year, as “Ratinho” was outwrestled by Hiroshi Nakamura in the Season 6 bantamweight tournament quarterfinals. Prior to that unanimous decision defeat, the Brazilian posted 10 straight victories, earning half of those wins via submission.

Mann, meanwhile, makes the cut to bantamweight after losing two of his last three fights at 145 pounds. The 26-year-old Brit is a two-time tournament veteran, falling in the 2011 Summer Series semifinals to eventual Bellator champion Pat Curran before stumbling against Mike Corey roughly one year ago in the Season 6 quarterfinals.
