‘The Ultimate Fighter’ Ratings: ‘TUF 17’ Episode 4 Averages 1.25 Million Viewers

Episode 4 of “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 17 averaged 1.25 million viewers during its one-hour broadcast Tuesday night on FX.

Sherdog.com verified the figure with industry sources on Wednesday. The show’s ratings have held fast in each of the last three weeks, as the second and third episodes netted 1.27 and 1.2 million viewers, respectively. The Season 17 high was set during the show’s premiere, which featured the competition’s elimination round and attracted 1.5 million viewers.

Tuesday night’s installment of the series saw Chael Sonnen’s fight pick backfire, as Kevin Casey suffered a unanimous decision defeat to Jon JonesCollin Hart. Jones’ disciple wore down Casey over the course of 10 minutes, allowed the Gracie jiu-jitsu black belt virtually no space to breath and constantly pestered him with short shots from top position and the clinch.

The victory marked the first win of the season for “Bones,” who used the acquired fight pick to match up Bubba McDaniel with Team Sonnen’s Kelvin Gastelum for a showdown on next week’s installment.
