The Jackson’s MMA product later revealed that he had torn a hamstring early in the Oct. 5 bout.
After a one-fight hiatus, Gonzaga returned to the Octagon in 2012 with a first-round submission of Ednaldo Oliveira at UFC 142. Most recently, the onetime heavyweight title challenger tapped Ben Rothwell with a guillotine choke in the second round of their UFC on FX 7 encounter.
