WSOF 2 Adds Tyson Nam-Marlon Moraes Co-Headliner, Two Other Bouts to Atlantic City Card

The second World Series of Fighting card is quickly taking shape, as the promotion officially announced four bouts for its March 23 event.

As expected, a heavyweight clash between Andrei Arlovski and Anthony Johnson will headline the event at the Revel Resort & Casino in Atlantic City, N.J. Additionally, up-and-coming bantamweights Tyson Nam and Marlon Moraes will square off in the co-main event. The evening’s main card will air on the NBC Sports Network beginning at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT.

WSOF 2 will also include a middleweight clash between former WEC titlist Paulo Filho and four-time UFC veteran David Branch as well as a 170-pound matchup pitting “The Ultimate Fighter 2” competitor Josh Burkman against the unbeaten Ryan LaFlare.

Arlovski is unbeaten in his last five outings, most recently taking a unanimous decision from Mike Hayes at Fight Nights “Battle of Moscow 9” in December. Johnson has won four straight since his release from the UFC, including three victories by knockout or technical knockout. “Rumble” made his 205-pound debut at WSOF 1, knocking out D.J. Linderman in the opening frame.

Nam made waves when he knocked out reigning Bellator bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas at a Shooto event in August. The 29-year-old Sports Lab representative has been victorious in his last four outings. Moraes scored the biggest victory of his career at WSOF 1, earning a split decision nod against former WEC 135-pound ruler Miguel Torres in November.

“We are excited to bring the World Series of Fighting brand of MMA to Atlantic City, where some of the greatest fights in history have taken place,” WSOF President said in a release. “Andrei Arlovski, Anthony Johnson and Marlon Moraes are all coming off superb performances on our inaugural fight card, and Tyson Nam has been on fire of late, so we felt that it was essential to showcase these stars at the top of our first card on the East Coast.”
