Daniel Ghita, regarded as one of the top kickboxers in the world has signed a multi-fight, multi-year agreement with Glory World Series.
Ranked as the No. 2 heavyweight kickboxer in the world by LiverKick.com, Ghita is widely regarded as one of the top strikers in the sport and will now fight for Glory World Series starting for his next bout.
“I decided that GLORY is the best and only logical fit for me because this is where all of the best heavyweights in the world compete,” said Ghita, who had been sought after by several other leagues. “If you want to be recognized as the best, you have to face and defeat the best and, as a true competitor, I have every intention of distinguishing myself as the No. 1 heavyweight in the world and a GLORY champion.”
Ghita is currently only behind multi-time K-1 champion Semmy Schilt, regarded by most as the top heavyweight kickboxer in the sport who also competes under the Glory World Series banner.
Ghita will likely debut for Glory World Series at the upcoming event scheduled for Tokyo, Japan on Dec 2.
