UFC on Fuel TV 5 Draws Strong Saturday TV Ratings; Replay Outdoes Live Broadcast

UFC on Fuel TV 5: Struve vs. Miocic gave Fuel TV its best TV ratings yet, in total, for a UFC event on the action sports network, drawing a total of 251,000 viewers, according to industry sources.

There is one caveat to that number, however. It includes both the live telecast, as well as the prime time replay.

UFC on Fuel TV 5 took place in Nottingham, England. So, due to the time difference, the live broadcast aired early in the day in the United States and was then followed up with a repeat performance in the more viewer-friendly evening hours.

The initial UFC on Fuel TV 5 live broadcast drew and average audience of 111,000 viewers, while the replay in the evening did quite a bit better, pulling in 140,000 viewers.

Either way, it’s a winning situation for Fuel TV. Prior to adding UFC programming to the network, Fuel TV regularly pulled in much, much lower ratings.

While 251,000 viewers may not sound like blockbuster numbers for larger networks, it’s a number that should make Fuel TV execs happy, especially when nearly half of that was during the very tough Saturday afternoon draw.
