Mizugaki-Hougland, Urushitani-Lineker Shifted to UFC on Fuel TV 6 in Macau

Two more bouts have been transplanted as a result of UFC 151’s cancellation, as bantamweights Takeya Mizugaki and Jeff Hougland and flyweights Yasuhiro Urushitani and John Lineker will now compete at UFC on Fuel TV 6.

Promotion officials announced the news on Friday, one day after UFC 151 was canceled due to a scrapped main event between Jon Jones and Dan Henderson. UFC on Fuel TV 6 is headlined by a middleweight confrontation between Rich Franklin and Cung Le and takes place Nov. 10 at CotaiArena in Cotai, Macau.

Mizugaki [pictured], 28, has alternated wins and losses dating back to his 2009 World Extreme Cagefighting debut against then-champion Miguel Torres. The former Cage Force titlist went 2-1 last year, only to kick off 2012 with a Feb. 26 unanimous decision defeat to Chris Cariaso at UFC 144.

Known as “Hellbound,” Hougland was battered by Yves Jabouin in his most recent in-cage appearance, dropping a one-sided unanimous decision to the WEC vet at UFC on Fuel TV 3. The setback followed a victory for Hougland in his Octagon debut, as the Washingtonian outpointed fellow newcomer Donny Walker at UFC 132 almost 14 months ago.

Urushitani, 35, made his UFC debut against Joseph Benavidez this past March at UFC on FX 2, falling by technical knockout to the American in the semifinals of the promotion’s inaugural flyweight title tournament. Prior to joining the UFC, the Japanese standout had won five straight fights, capturing the Shooto 123-pound world title in 2010 and defending it once successfully last year.

Lineker, 22, recently saw a 13-fight winning streak snapped when he was submitted in his UFC debut by “Ultimate Fighter” Season 14 alumnus Louis Gaudinot on May 5 at UFC on Fox 3. “Hands of Stone” entered that bout as the reigning Jungle Fight bantamweight titlist, besting countryman Iliard Santos in a split decision last September at Jungle Fight 32.
