UFC 150 Prelims TV Ratings Below Series Average

The TV ratings for the UFC 150: Henderson vs. Edgar II preliminary bouts on FX continue the promotion’s summer of mostly flat results.

The UFC 150 Prelims on FX registered at 974,000 viewers on average for the two-hour telecast, according to industry sources.

That number is down from the springtime events, but is similar to the ratings the prelims have garnered on FX throughout the summer, save for UFC 148, which remains an anomaly at 1.8 million. UFC 148, which featured Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen rematching in the main event, had a tremendous amount of interest and promotional support that trickled down to the prelims on FX.

The prelim telecasts on FX, through nine events, currently average 1.27 million viewers per event.

The bouts featured on the UFC 150 FX telecast were Dennis Bermudez vs. Tommy Hayden, Jared Hamman vs. Michael Kuiper, Ken Stone vs. Erik Perez, and Dustin Pague vs. Chico Camus.

The UFC 150 prelims on FX also went head-to-head with the 2012 Summer Olympics on NBC, which was in its closing weekend and has been drawing tremendous ratings for the network.
