TUF Brasil Champion Rony Jason Draws TUF Live Cast Member at UFC 153

A battle between an Ultimate Fighter Brasil winner and a cast member of the Ultimate Fighter Live is headed to UFC 153 in Rio.

Rony Jason aka Rony Mariano Bezerra, who was crowned the first ever Ultimate Fighter Brasil champion last month, will get back in action in his native Brazil this October.

Challenging Jason on his home turf will be Ultimate Fighter Live cast member Sam Sicilia, who takes the fight after finishing Brazilian Cristiano Marcello at the TUF Live Finale in June.

UFC officials announced the new match-up on Wednesday.

A member of Team Wanderlei Silva on the reality show, Rony Jason made his way through the competition and finals, eventually capped off with a win over Godofredo Pepey at last month’s UFC 147 card.

Now Jason faces a fellow reality show veteran as Team Dominick Cruz fighter Sam Sicilia looks to duplicate his last performance as he travels to Brazil for his next bout.

Sicilia blasted through early season favorite Cristiano Marcello at the TUF Live Finale and now tries to make short work of the winner of TUF Brasil when he faces Jason in October as part of the UFC 153 show in Rio.
