UFC 148 Set Company Records, Had Enormous Economic Impact on Las Vegas

Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen at the UFC 148 weigh-insThe hype heading into UFC 148's Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen rematch was beyond compare. The trash talk, the feuding, the marketing, a week-long build-up in Las Vegas.

Regardless of what you think of the fight itself or the borderline knee to the chest, the fight fully delivered for the UFC… in record numbers.

UFC president Dana White said that UFC 148 set nearly every record in the book on the business side of the equation for the company, adding that, although the final numbers hadn’t been added up, UFC 148's economic impact on Las Vegas was somewhere between 93 and 140 million dollars.

“This is one of the biggest fights of the year… we shut down Brazil.”

Check out what else White had to say about UFC 148 and it’s impact…
