Jon Jones, Frankie Edgar, and Ronda Rousey Ring the NASDAQ Bell

The Ultimate Fighting Championship may not currently be able to hold a licensed, sanctioned event in New York, but that hasn’t stopped the mixed martial arts juggernaut from promoting the sport and its brand in the Empire State.

While the UFC is taking its traveling promotional show, Octagon Nation, into New York City, and more specifically to Times Square, this week, several of the promotion’s fighters stopped by NASDAQ on Tuesday morning to ring the opening bell that signals the beginning of stock trading for the day.

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar, and Strikeforce bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey were joined by UFC on Fox host Curt Menefee to signal the opening of the trading day.

Now, if they could just be allowed to signal the opening of MMA sanctioning in what is one of the last holdout states in the U.S.
