Strikeforce Tate vs. Rousey Results: Kazou Misaki Grabs Spilt Decision

Kazuo Misaki won a split decision over Paul Daley in their main card fight at Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday night.

Judges saw the fight in Misaki’s favor with scores of 30-27, 28-29, and 29-28.

Misaki stood toe-to-toe with the striker, Daley, bringing aggression with no holding back. Each fighter got a takedown, but Misaki edged him by being the aggressor in the opening round.

Round two showed Misaki continuing the aggression on the feet. Daley countered with another takedown, but his opponent showed great defense with his guard. Misaki swept Daley late in the round to gain top position.

Daley scored another takedown in the third round. Misaki was cut open with a Daley elbow over the left eye and was briefly checked by the cageside physician, but the fight continued. Flurries of punches were Misaki’s offense going into the end of the matchup.

With the win, Misaki improves his record to 25-11-2, 1 N.C., and is on a two-fight win streak. Daley drops to 29-12-2 and has lost three of his last five fights.
