With Strikeforce's heavyweight division in dissolution mode, yet another one of its talent pool is heading to the UFC.

Unbeaten heavyweight prospect Shane del Rosario has signed with the UFC and will follow the likes of Alistair Overeem, Fabricio Werdum and Chad Griggs to the Octagon. Del Rosario's manager, Jason House of Iridium Sports Agency, tweeted the news Wednesday evening.

No date or potential opponent has been revealed for the 28-year-old Irvine, Calif., native. Del Rosario hasn't competed since armbarring another recent Strikeforce-to-UFC heavyweight, Lavar Johnson, in the Strikeforce cage in February. He was set to meet fellow unbeaten heavyweight Daniel Cormier at Strikeforce's “Overeem vs. Werdum,” but a car accident left him with a herniated disc, nixing the bout.

In racking up an unblemished record in a five-plus-year career, del Rosario has knocked out eight foes and submitted three, finishing all 11 foes, 10 in the first round.
