Season 14 of “The Ultimate Fighter” maintained its momentum following the Sept. 21 season debut, as Spike TV officials on Thursday announced that episode two earned an average of 1.6 million viewers for its Wednesday broadcast.

The episode also netted a household rating of 1.22, as well as ratings of 1.58 and 1.95 in the male 18-49 and 18-34 demographics, respectively. All three figures, as well as the episode’s total viewership, showed a slight increase from the season premiere, which took in an average of 1.5 million viewers.

Episode two featured coaches Michael Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller divide the 16 competitors into teams, with each coach taking eight featherweights and eight bantamweights. This week’s installment concluded with the first of the preliminary bouts, as Bryan Caraway (Pictured, File Photo) defeated Marcus Brimage via second-round rear-naked choke, earning Team Miller the first win of the season.
