An injury to Mackens Semerzier has opened up a slot for newcomer Robert Peralta to step in and face Mike Lullo at UFC Fight Night: Shields vs. Ellenberger on Sept. 17.
Peralta’s manager Jeff Clark announced the news via Twitter on Monday.
Robert Peralta comes to the UFC on a seven-fight win streak, including a victory in Strikeforce in his last fight over Dream mainstay Hiroyuki Takaya.
Prior to that win, Peralta had spent the majority of his career fighting for Gladiator Challenge and other local promotions.
The bout between Peralta and Lullo occupies a slot on the UFC Fight Night undercard, with the main card happening on Spike TV.
