Four UFC 134 competitors could face six-month medical suspensions following their respective performances.

Forrest Griffin, Stanislav Nedkov, Raphael Assuncao and Ian Loveland have all been suspended 180 days pending X-rays for various injuries. However, each may be cleared early by either a negative X-ray or a physician’s recommendation. Regardless, Nedkov, Assuncao and Loveland must each sit out for at least 30 days, with no contact for 21 days. Griffin’s mandatory suspension is a bit harsher, as the original “Ultimate Fighter” will be sidelined for at least 45 days, with no contact for 30 days.

Also known as UFC “Rio,” the event went down Aug. 27 from HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since Brazil has no regulatory commission, the UFC conducted its own medical examinations and drug testing, as per usual. Sherdog.com confirmed the medical suspensions on Wednesday with Marc Ratner, the UFC’s vice president of regulatory affairs.

UFC 134’s main event saw Anderson Silva once again display his dominance, as the longtime champion thrashed No. 1 contender Yushin Okami with razor-sharp strikes. The massive Japanese middleweight had no answer for Silva’s speed, as “The Spider” effortlessly inflicted punishment on his foe while avoiding the majority of Okami’s offense en route to a second-round technical knockout. Okami was suspended 45 days in defeat, with no contact for 30 days.
